Well, I was able to get some decent training done in May, but I went to Hawaii for a week which led to a little less than usual. One of the days I ran along the beach in my Vibrams, which was great, but I fear the incline of the beach may have led to the start of some shin splints. It's not bad, but I feel it in my left shin. For the time being, I'm going to skip the speed work and just try to put in a minimum of 20 miles a week until it goes away. I hope resume some interval training next Wednesday, because I feel like I was making some good progress. The past 2-3 weeks I've been running enough where my fitness shouldn't lessen at all, but not enough to improve either.
