I'm going to try to get back on a decent posting schedule here. Sorry for the long break for all 2 of you that read this.
Currently, I'm training for a half-marathon that will be in Waukesha, WI. My somewhat lofty goal is 1:40. My PR is 1:44:16, and I'm not quite in that shape yet, but I think I might be back in that form within another month.
So far, the longest I've run since the TC marathon was 10 miles and it was at about a 9:30 pace. I've been doing leg strengthening exercises that I haven't done in the past, so I'm hoping that will boost my ability faster than just running alone. Currently, I'm practically unable to move due to a heavy lifting session of squats, deadlifts, and pullups, amongst other things. I might try to find a 5k sometime in early March for a gauge of my fitness. When I think of how soon April is coming, I think my goal might be a bit lofty, but I'll revisit it as we get closer if I need to.
